
"The Best Awards": Dembele and Bonmatti named best in 2025
FIFA announced today (Tuesday) that French star Ousmane Dembele, a Paris Saint-Germain player, has been crowned the best player in the world “The Best 2025”, while Spaniard Aitana Bonmatí was crowned the best female player in the world.

Dembele's exceptional season
Dembele played a prominent role in Paris Saint-Germain's historic season, leading them to their first-ever Champions League title after a resounding 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final.
Dembele contributed to the Parisian team winning the French League title, the French Cup, and the Super Cup, in addition to achieving second place in the 2025 Club World Cup.
The French star scored 35 goals in various competitions last season, including 21 goals in the French league.

Bonmatti continues to dominate
Meanwhile, Barcelona and Spain midfielder Aitana Bonmatí won the FIFA Women's World Player of the Year award for the third consecutive time.
Bonmatí helped Barcelona win the domestic treble and reach the Champions League final, and she also led Spain to the final of Euro 2025.
