تراجعت أسعار الذهب عند تسوية تعاملات (الجمعة)، متأثرة بتعافي الدولار الأمريكي واستمرار صعود النفط. ومع ذلك، سجل المعدن الأصفر أول مكاسب شهرية له منذ فبراير الماضي بدعم من تباطؤ التضخم الأمريكي وتراجع رهانات التشديد النقدي.
وظلت حالة الحذر الجيوسياسي مسيطرة على معنويات المستثمرين في نهاية الأسبوع. إذ أعلنت إيران أن العبور في مضيق هرمز غير ممكن حالياً بسبب العمليات العسكرية الأمريكية.
وانعكس ذلك سلباً على أسعار المعادن النفيسة، وحدّ من الخسائر تقليص الأسواق توقعاتها لرفع الفيدرالي أسعار الفائدة إلى 65% من 80% قبل أسبوع، وفقاً لأداة «سي إم إي فيدووتش».
Gold prices fell at the close of trading on Friday, affected by the recovery of the US dollar and the continued rise in oil. However, the yellow metal recorded its first monthly gains since February, supported by a slowdown in US inflation and a decrease in bets on monetary tightening.
The geopolitical caution remained dominant over investor sentiment at the end of the week. Iran announced that transit through the Strait of Hormuz is currently impossible due to US military operations.
This negatively impacted precious metal prices, while a reduction in market expectations for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates to 65% from 80% a week ago, according to the CME FedWatch Tool, limited the losses.
