وقال خلال فعالية اقتصادية في ميامي: “لم يكونوا موجودين ببساطة. ننفق مئات المليارات من الدولارات سنويا على الناتو، مئات المليارات، لحمايتهم، وكنا سنبقى دائما إلى جانبهم، ولكن الآن، بناءً على أفعالهم، أعتقد أننا لسنا ملزمين بذلك، أليس كذلك؟”.
