وحثّ حاكم الولاية مايك براون، السكان على التعامل مع الفيضانات بجدية والابتعاد عن مياهها، مؤكدًا أن فرق الطوارئ أنقذت أكثر من 90 شخصًا، بسبب ارتفاع منسوب مياه الفيضانات على طول نهر وايت، الذي وصف بأنه فيضان تاريخي.
