وضع نيوم حداً لسلسلة الهلال التاريخية في دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين، بعدما أسقطه بثنائية نظيفة، ليوقف قطار «الزعيم» الذي ظل 47 مباراة متتالية دون خسارة في المسابقة، في واحدة من أطول سلاسل اللا هزيمة في تاريخ دوري المحترفين.
ودخل الهلال مواجهة نيوم وهو يحمل ثاني أطول سلسلة دون خسارة في تاريخ المسابقة، بعدما جمع خلال مبارياته الـ47 السابقة 35 انتصاراً و12 تعادلاً، منذ خسارته أمام النصر بنتيجة 1-3 في 4 أبريل 2025.
وكان الهلال قد تجاوز رقمه السابق البالغ 46 مباراة متتالية دون خسارة، وأصبح على بُعد أربع مباريات فقط من معادلة الرقم التاريخي المسجل باسم الأهلي، الذي حافظ على سجله خالياً من الهزائم خلال 51 مباراة متتالية بين 2014 و2016.
إلا أن نيوم أوقف المطاردة الهلالية للرقم الأهلاوي، بعدما باغت أصحاب الأرض في الشوط الأول، إذ افتتح التسجيل إثر كرة حوّلها المدافع السنغالي كاليدو كوليبالي بالخطأ داخل مرماه، قبل أن يضيف أمادو كونيه الهدف الثاني، ليضع الهلال أمام مهمة صعبة للعودة إلى المباراة.
وبهذه النتيجة، تتوقف سلسلة الهلال عند 47 مباراة دون هزيمة، بعدما كان قريباً من الوصول إلى الرقم التاريخي للأهلي، فيما سجل نيوم اسمه باعتباره الفريق الذي أنهى واحدة من أقوى سلاسل الهلال في دوري المحترفين.
Neom put an end to the historical unbeaten streak of Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, after defeating them with a clean two-goal victory, halting the “leader’s” train that had gone 47 consecutive matches without a loss in the competition, marking one of the longest unbeaten streaks in the history of the professional league.
Al-Hilal entered the match against Neom holding the second longest unbeaten streak in the history of the competition, having accumulated 35 wins and 12 draws over their previous 47 matches, since their loss to Al-Nassr with a score of 1-3 on April 4, 2025.
Al-Hilal had surpassed their previous record of 46 consecutive matches without a loss and was just four matches away from equaling the historical record held by Al-Ahli, who maintained their unbeaten record over 51 consecutive matches between 2014 and 2016.
However, Neom halted Al-Hilal’s pursuit of the Al-Ahli record, surprising the home team in the first half, as they opened the scoring with a goal that was accidentally converted into their own net by Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly, before Amadou Koneh added the second goal, putting Al-Hilal in a difficult position to return to the match.
With this result, Al-Hilal’s unbeaten streak ends at 47 matches, after being close to reaching Al-Ahli’s historical record, while Neom etched their name as the team that ended one of the strongest streaks of Al-Hilal in the professional league.
