أبدى لاعب الأهلي صالح أبو الشامات استياءه الشديد من مدرب الفريق مارينو بوسيتش، بعد إشراكه بديلاً لزميله سبيرتسيان في آخر دقيقتين فقط من نهائي كأس أفريقيا-آسيا-المحيط الهادئ أمام صن داونز الجنوب أفريقي، الذي خسره الأهلي بنتيجة 2-1 في المباراة التي جمعتهما اليوم على ملعب لوفتس فيرسفيلد بجنوب أفريقيا.
وشوهد أبو الشامات عقب صافرة النهاية وهو يغادر أرضية الملعب مسرعاً وغاضباً، ويخلع قميصه في احتجاج غير مباشر على قرارات المدرب، في لقطة أشعلت الجدل بين جماهير الأهلي.
