رفض الرئيس التنفيذي لنادي ضمك بمحافظة خميس مشيط أحمد الشهري، الحديث عن ما تم تداوله أخيرا، لافتاً إلى أن الفريق يمر بمرحلة مصيرية ويحتاج لتكاتف الجميع وعدم تشتيت تفكير اللاعبين بما هو خارج الملعب، جاء ذلك في حديث خاص لـ«عكاظ» قال فيه: «سيكون هنالك توضيح كامل وكشف الحقائق للجميع بعد نهاية دوري روشن، وسيتم وضع النقاط على الحروف». وأضاف: «نناشد جماهير فارس الجنوب بوجه خاص وعسير بوجه عام بدعم الفريق في هذه المرحلة الحرجة، واللاعبون يحتاجون وقفتكم».
يذكر أن فريق ضمك يسعى لكسب 3 نقاط في غاية اﻷهمية في مواجهته اليوم (الجمعة) مع ضيفه الفيحاء عند تمام الساعة 7:15 مساءً على استاد مدينة اﻷمير سلطان بن عبدالعزيز الرياضية بأبها، وذلك ضمن منافسات الجولة 33 لدوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين، لضمان البقاء رسمياً في دوري المحترفين حال فوزه الليلة على الفيحاء شريطة خسارة منافسه فريق الرياض من مضيفه التعاون في اللقاء الذي سيقام عند الساعة التاسعة مساءً.
