وأفادت وسائل إعلام محلية، اليوم الثلاثاء، بإنقاذ 55 شخصًا من ركاب القاربين، مشيرة إلى أن أحد القاربين، ويحمل اسم “فيكتوار”، كان يقل 163 راكبًا عند وقوع الحادث ليلة الجمعة إلى السبت.
وتشهد الأنهار في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية حوادث مماثلة، تُعزى من بين أسبابها إلى الملاحة ليلًا، وزيادة الحمولة، وعدم الالتزام بقواعد الملاحة.
