وصف مدرب الاتحاد فيسينغ فوز فريقه على القادسية بنتيجة هدف دون رد في اللقاء الذي جمعهما اليوم على ملعب الأمير محمد بن فهد بالدمام، ضمن الجولة الثانية من الدوري السعودي للمحترفين لكرة القدم (دوري روشن)، بـ«الليلة الرائعة والانتصار المميز أمام فريق جيد يقوده مدرب كبير». وقال فيسينغ في المؤتمر الصحفي: «المباراة كانت صعبة وازدادت صعوبتها بعد حالة الطرد، لكن اللاعبين أظهروا شخصية وروحاً قتالية كبيرة، وأنا فخور جداً بما قدموه حتى الدقيقة الأخيرة».
وأضاف: «في بعض الأحيان تكون الروح والقتالية والرغبة في الانتصار أكثر أهمية وحسماً من الجوانب الفنية، والليلة لن أتحدث إلا عن فريقي وعن هذا الفوز المستحق».
وأكد أن الاتحاد نادٍ كبير بتاريخه وإنجازاته، وتابع يقول: «ندرك أننا لم نصل بعد للمستوى الذي نطمح إليه بدنياً وفنياً، ونعمل باستمرار على التطور».
وعن استبدال جورج قال: «قدّم مستوى مميزاً ومجهوداً بدنياً كبيراً، وبعد الطرد اضطررت لاستبداله لإيجاد الحلول المناسبة والتعامل مع النقص العددي».
The coach of Al-Ittihad, Vissing, described his team’s victory over Al-Qadisiyah with a score of one goal to none in the match that took place today at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, as “a wonderful night and a remarkable victory against a good team led by a great coach.” Vissing said at the press conference: “The match was difficult and became even more challenging after the red card, but the players showed great character and fighting spirit, and I am very proud of what they delivered until the last minute.”
He added: “Sometimes, spirit, fighting, and the desire to win are more important and decisive than technical aspects, and tonight I will only talk about my team and this well-deserved victory.”
He confirmed that Al-Ittihad is a great club with its history and achievements, and continued: “We realize that we have not yet reached the level we aspire to, both physically and technically, and we are constantly working on improvement.”
Regarding the substitution of George, he said: “He delivered an impressive performance and put in a lot of physical effort, and after the red card, I had to substitute him to find suitable solutions and deal with the numerical disadvantage.”
