Meteorology: Eastern Province records peak spring heat with varying rainfall across the Kingdom
The center's analysis indicates strong signs of average temperatures exceeding the normal climatic average across the Kingdom, albeit to varying degrees. This increase is expected to peak at approximately 1.4 degrees Celsius, particularly in the northern parts of the Eastern Province.
Rainfall exceeding the average
These promising expectations extend toRainfall Higher than average to cover the southern and southwestern parts of the Najran region, in addition to the western parts and scattered locations of the central and eastern Riyadh region, reaching parts of the central Eastern region.
Rainfall around average
The climate data included in the report identified a list of regions expected to experience rainfall around the normal average over the next three months. These regions include the Qassim region, excluding some of its central areas, and the Madinah region, excluding its northern parts. This moderate category also encompasses the southern parts of the Hail region, along with a geographical area that includes parts of eastern and northern Riyadh, and scattered areas of central and northern Eastern Province.
Decreased chances of precipitation
The National Center for Meteorology concluded its spring climate forecast by identifying the geographical areas that will experience a decrease in rainfall compared to the general average. The forecasts confirmed that all remaining parts and regions of the Kingdom that do not fall within the high or moderate rainfall categories will, God willing, experience rainfall amounts classified as below the normal climatic average for this time of year.
