The Meteorology Department warns of high temperatures and low humidity in Arafat
The center urged pilgrims to avoid direct sun exposure, stay away from open areas as much as possible, remain in shaded or enclosed spaces, and strictly adhere to the instructions and guidelines of the relevant authorities to ensure their safety and health while performing the Hajj rituals.
For his part, the official spokesperson for the National Center for Meteorology, Hussein bin Mohammed Al-Qahtani, explained that the center continues to monitor weather conditions and phenomena in the holy sites around the clock using the latest technologies and radars. He emphasized that the high temperatures and low humidity necessitate increased awareness and adherence to preventive guidelines, especially during peak periods, to help reduce cases of heat stress and ensure the safety of pilgrims.
This alert comes as part of the National Center for Meteorology's ongoing efforts to provide accurate and real-time weather information, which contributes to supporting the plans of government and service agencies involved in Hajj operations, thus ensuring the safety of the pilgrims and providing them with a safe and reassuring environment, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
