Infantino added that the World Cup remains a significant global event, emphasizing that the world needs it now more than ever, as it represents an opportunity to unite people through sport.
Trump had previously stated that he did not care much about the possibility of the Iranian team being excluded from the tournament, considering that Iran was going through difficult circumstances and that its capabilities had become limited, as he put it.
