The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Makkah Region conducted inspection tours of the slaughterhouses in the Holy City the Holy Sites to assess their operational readiness to provide services to pilgrims during the 1447 AH Hajj season.
visits included the Director General of the Ministry's branch in the region, Engineer Waleed Al-Dughais, accompanied by the Director General of the National Agricultural Services Company, Engineer Adel Al-Sheikh, and the Director General of the "Waqaa"

West Makkah slaughterhouse, and the Al-Muaisem slaughterhouse. During the tour, officials reviewed the operational procedures and the level of technical and administrative readiness of the slaughterhouses. The extent to which all health, environmental, and regulatory requirements are being implemented to enhance the efficiency of services provided was also verified.
Engineer Al-Dughais emphasized the importance of continuous coordination among relevant entities to ensure the smooth flow of operations.
He also stressed the necessity of strict adherence to operational plans to provide a healthy and safe environment for pilgrims.
These actions are part of a series of ongoing monitoring programs and visits conducted by the Ministry branch in preparation for the Hajj season. These field efforts aim to strengthen integration and monitor all facilities related to the Ministry's system in the Holy Sites.
