Will the Egyptian League Association cancel relegation and save Ismaily for the second year?
Ismaily SC insisted on remaining in the Egyptian Premier League next season, despite being officially relegated to the second division after losing to Wadi Degla 2-1 last Tuesday.

Statement from the committee tasked with managing the club
Ismaily said in a statement: “The committee is making every effort to ensure the club’s continued participation in the Premier League, and we support the fans’ aspirations and their insistence on this right, which is an inherent right for all popular clubs at risk of relegation.”.
The statement added: “There is no truth to any rumors or systematic and ongoing campaigns that only aim to destroy this prestigious club. The committee did not reject investment or partnership in the football company, but according to regulations and transparency that guarantee the club all its rights, especially the historic license that the club will participate with, which is registered with the Football Association and FIFA.”.
He continued: “We know and are fully aware that the final decision on these matters rests with the Extraordinary General Assembly, and this is its inherent right.”.
The statement concluded: “The committee will continue its work for the club and to preserve its assets, hand in hand with all supporters and fans, until a decision is issued to dismiss it or to call for the election of a new board of directors.”.
Ismaily's ranking
Ismaily are at the bottom of the standings with 19 points, meaning that "Brazil of Egypt" will be relegated to the second division for the first time in 68 years.
The Egyptian Clubs Association had cancelled the relegation decision last season because of Ismaily, but administrative, financial and technical crises led to the inevitable relegation of the third pillar of Egyptian football after Al-Ahly and Zamalek.
