Absher platform processes 41 million electronic transactions in December

In a move reflecting the accelerating pace of digital transformation in Saudi Arabia and confirming the success of national strategies aimed at automating government services, the Ministry of Interior's electronic platform "Absher" achieved a new record in the volume of transactions processed. Official statistics revealed that the platform executed a total of 41,104,448 electronic transactions during December, encompassing all beneficiaries, including citizens, residents, and visitors, across both the individual and business sectors.

The context of digital transformation and Vision 2030

This significant achievement comes within the framework of realizing the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which prioritizes digital transformation to improve quality of life and enhance the efficiency of government operations. The "Absher" platform is no longer merely a service application; it has become a global model for e-government, contributing to the elimination of paper-based bureaucracy, reducing congestion in government offices, and saving time and effort for millions of beneficiaries, thus strengthening the Kingdom's position in international digital government development indicators.

Details of transactions via Absher Individuals and Businesses

Looking at the specifics of the figures, the Absher Individuals platform accounted for the lion's share of transactions, with 38,495,732 transactions processed through it. Notably, the digital wallet, which allows users to view official documents electronically via the application, alone recorded 31,884,329 views, indicating the community's growing reliance on digital identity instead of physical documents. Meanwhile, the business sector continued its growth, with the Absher Business platform recording 2,608,716 transactions, reflecting the platform's role in facilitating business operations and supporting the national economy.

Activity of the security and service sectors

Across the various sectors under the Ministry of Interior, traffic services led the way, with the General Directorate of Public Security processing a total of 3,638,165 transactions. The General Directorate of Traffic accounted for 3,546,449 of these, highlighting the high demand for digital traffic services such as license renewals and vehicle ownership transfers. The General Directorate of Passports also recorded significant activity with 2,311,995 transactions, followed by the Ministry of Interior's Civil Status Agency with 538,997 transactions.

Impact and integration with the access system

The impact of these figures extends beyond mere statistics, encompassing the integration of the Kingdom's digital ecosystem. The number of unified digital identities issued through the platform has surpassed 28 million, granting beneficiaries a secure and reliable key to access not only the services of the Ministry of Interior, but also over 500 government and private entities via the unified national access portal, "Nafath." Other public services included the issuance of more than 135,000 reports and thousands of inquiries and document delivery requests by mail, further solidifying the concept of a fully integrated smart government.
