Civil Defense conducts fire drill in Mecca in preparation for Hajj season 1445
As part of intensive preparations for the 1445 AH Hajj season, the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Mecca conducted a large-scale fire drill on Wednesday at one of the major hotels designated for pilgrims. This exercise is part of a comprehensive operational plan aimed at enhancing readiness, assessing the rapid response of field teams to emergencies, and ensuring the highest safety standards for pilgrims.
The exercise, which involved several relevant government agencies such as the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, the Ministry of Health, and security forces, included multiple scenarios simulating potential incidents. The operations included evacuating residents from affected floors, rescuing those trapped, and fighting the fire using state-of-the-art equipment and machinery. On-site medical triage procedures were also implemented to treat the injured and transport critical cases, in addition to drills for clearing heavy smoke and securing the entire building.
