Crown Prince meets Sisi in Jeddah: Discussing relations and regional developments

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, this evening at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, where His Highness hosted an Iftar banquet in honor of His Excellency and his accompanying delegation.
At the outset of the meeting, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince welcomed the Egyptian President to his second home, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the deep fraternal ties that bind the two countries. For his part, President El-Sisi expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, praising the high regard in which the Kingdom is held by the Egyptian leadership and people.
Strengthening historical relations and strategic partnership
The meeting included a comprehensive review of the close and historic bilateral relations between Riyadh and Cairo, with both sides discussing ways to strengthen and develop these relations across various political, economic, and investment sectors. These discussions underscore the shared desire to expand bilateral cooperation to broader horizons, serving the interests of both brotherly nations and reflecting the strategic strength of the Riyadh-Cairo axis as a cornerstone of Arab stability.
Joint coordination regarding regional issues
The meeting addressed a number of important issues on the Arab and Islamic scenes, with the two leaders discussing the rapidly evolving events in the Middle East. They emphasized the importance of joint coordination and a unified vision regarding matters related to the region's security and stability, as well as efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent further escalation.
This meeting is of particular importance given the delicate circumstances the region is going through, which necessitates intensifying consultations between the Saudi and Egyptian leaderships to confront current challenges and support the system of joint Arab action, in order to ensure the protection of Arab national security and the capabilities of the peoples.

The meeting was attended on the Saudi side by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers and National Security Advisor, His Excellency Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers for Shura Council Affairs, and His Excellency Mr. Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan, Head of General Intelligence.
On the Egyptian side, those present included the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Major General Ahmed Mohamed Ali, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, the Chief of General Intelligence, Major General Hassan Mahmoud Rashad, and the Director of the Office of the President of the Republic, Counselor Omar Marwan.
