The Board of Grievances celebrated the anniversary of the glorious founding day of the Saudi state by organizing a grand national evening in Diriyah in the capital, Riyadh, in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Board of Grievances, Chairman of the Administrative Judiciary Council, Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Ahmed Al-Ahaideb, and with wide participation from the Board’s staff.

The celebration included numerous events and activities aimed at showcasing the history and realities of life in the early days of the first Saudi state, and highlighting its rich cultural and social heritage. The evening witnessed significant interaction and a remarkable turnout, with attendees receiving commemorative gifts reflecting the national identity of this cherished occasion.

The symbolism of Diriyah and the history of the first Saudi state

The choice of Diriyah as the venue for this celebration carries profound historical and national significance, as it was the first capital of the Saudi state, founded by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in 1727. Today, Diriyah stands as a symbol of unity and stability, a living testament to the deep-rooted history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which stretches back more than three centuries. The celebration by government institutions, including the Board of Grievances, at this historic site serves to connect the prosperous present with the rich past, drawing inspiration from the stories of struggle and nation-building written by imams, kings, and ancestors.

The interaction of administrative courts in different regions

In conjunction with the central celebration in Diriyah, all administrative courts and facilities affiliated with the Board of Grievances across the Kingdom commemorated the anniversary of the Kingdom's founding. Court buildings were adorned in green and decorated with the official visual identity of the occasion, expressing pride in this great historical legacy and sharing in the nation's and citizens' joy on this enduring national anniversary.

Strengthening national belonging and identity

The Board of Grievances is committed to actively engaging with various national, religious, and international events and involving its staff in them. This commitment stems from the Board's deep belief in the importance of these events in fostering a sense of belonging, reinforcing deeply rooted national values, and responding to the awareness messages associated with these occasions. This dedication also reflects the Board's commitment to its social and national responsibilities, in parallel with its ongoing efforts to achieve global leadership in administrative justice, in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Celebrating the founding day is not merely a remembrance of history, but rather an affirmation of the deep cohesion between the leadership and the people, and a revival of the noble values upon which the Saudi state was founded since its inception, namely justice, security, and wisdom. These are the same values that the Board of Grievances seeks to consolidate through its noble judicial mission.
