Founding Day is a national occasion of profound significance, symbolizing the deep historical, civilizational, and cultural roots of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, commemorating the establishment of the First Saudi State by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in 1727. In this context, the Riyadh Municipality ensured that this year's events would serve as a bridge connecting the present with the past, introducing new generations to the sacrifices and heroism of their ancestors, and reinforcing the values of belonging and loyalty among citizens and residents.
Events map: Wide reach and a new experience
In a move aimed at facilitating access to events and enhancing community participation, the Municipality distributed its celebrations across 61 key locations. This year marks a significant development with the launch of national events for the first time in 12 locations surrounding the newly inaugurated "My City" offices. These offices serve as primary and direct points of contact with the community and beneficiaries in the capital, reflecting the Municipality's commitment to simultaneously fulfilling its social and service-oriented roles.
The events will begin daily from 9 pm until 1 am, allowing visitors ample time to enjoy the festive atmosphere in a large number of parks and public gardens that have been decorated to welcome this special occasion.
Riyadh Oases: A blend of culture and entertainment
This year's celebrations are distinguished by their diversity at "Riyadh Oases," one of the municipality's unique initiatives. The "Al-Tahliya Oasis" (Foodsphere) and the "Al-Taawun Oasis" (House of Culture) are hosting a distinguished array of accompanying activities. These activities include:
