Human Resources transfers 100,000 social security beneficiaries to production

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia achieved an exceptional milestone in its social and developmental work, successfully transforming its services system in 2025 from a traditional, direct-support-based welfare model to one of sustainable empowerment. These efforts culminated in moving nearly 100,000 social security beneficiaries from a state of dependency to one of productivity and economic independence.
A strategic transformation in line with Vision 2030
This achievement is a culmination of the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which seeks to build a vibrant society and a thriving economy by investing in human capital. The Ministry's role is no longer limited to providing financial assistance; it has fundamentally shifted towards empowering individuals and integrating them into the labor market. This record was achieved through multiple pathways, including direct employment, vocational training and development, and support for small entrepreneurial projects, thereby boosting GDP and reducing the burden on social safety nets.
Digital leadership and accessible services
In terms of digital transformation, the Kingdom has achieved remarkable global success, with the Ministry winning the Digital Government Excellence Award for its "Digital Inclusion" initiative. This advanced technological infrastructure has served over 850,000 beneficiaries through accessible digital cards, facilitating access to services and eliminating bureaucratic barriers, thus reaffirming the Kingdom's commitment to providing smart and efficient government services.
Comprehensive care for people with disabilities and orphans
The ministry has given considerable attention to the most vulnerable groups, with annual statistics revealing that over 470,000 people with disabilities received cash assistance. In a supportive humanitarian and economic move, more than 120,000 individuals benefited from the decision to fully exempt domestic worker and nursing support staff from visa fees.
Regarding specialized services, the Ministry, through its unified application, provided advanced tools such as instant sign language interpreter requests, a visual guide for the blind, and a tool for identifying accessible locations. As for orphans, national strategies achieved remarkable success, employing 80% of job-seeking orphans and training over 3,200 young men and women for the job market in collaboration with the private and non-profit sectors.
Social responsibility and the elderly
The social responsibility sector witnessed a major leap, with the percentage of large companies adopting community programs rising to 72%, coinciding with the launch of the National Corporate Award. The Ministry also strengthened the cooperative sector, bringing the total number of associations to 558. Furthermore, the Ministry did not neglect senior citizens, introducing specialized services for them, most notably the "Imtiaz" card, which grants them priority access and discounts, reflecting the community's appreciation for this valued segment of society.
