Results of the sixth day of the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025

The excitement and fierce competition continued at the Saudi Falcons Club headquarters in Mulham (north of Riyadh), where Tuesday witnessed intense competition as part of the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025. The sixth day was dedicated to six qualifying rounds targeting local amateur falconers, amidst a remarkable public turnout and widespread participation, confirming the growing importance of this ancient heritage sport.

Cultural legacy and million-dollar prizes

This grand event, organized by the Saudi Falcons Club , further cements Saudi Arabia's position as a leading global destination for falconers. The festival, the world's largest gathering of falcons, blends the authenticity of the past with a vision for the future, contributing to the promotion of Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage, which is inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Running from December 25th to January 10th, the festival sees local and international falconers competing for substantial prizes totaling over 38 million Saudi Riyals, distributed across the Al-Malwah and Al-Mazayin competitions.

Details of the amateur race results on the sixth day

The sixth day of competition saw 219 falcons compete fiercely in the Al-Malwah race (400 meters). The competitions were divided into six main categories: Pure Gyrfalcon (young and adult), Gyrfalcon-Peregrine hybrid (young and adult), and Gyrfalcon-Saker hybrid (young and adult). The detailed results for the top positions are as follows:

Purebred Gyrfalcon category (chick and adult)

The competitions began with the Gyr Purebred (young) , where falconer Sultan Al-Dosari secured first place with his falcon (Hudhur), followed by Abdulrahman Al-Muhaini in second place with his falcon (Adeem), while Fahd bin Shuwayya came in third with his falcon (Mutlaq). In the Gyr Purebred , Mohammed Ghanem Al-Dosari excelled, achieving first place with his falcon (Ramz), followed by Hamad bin Nafil Al-Marri in second place with (Fazza), and Saeed Batihan Al-Marri in third place with (Namous).

Gyrfalcon category (chick and adult)

In the Gyrfalcon (Peregrine , Hamad Abdulrahman Al-Marri secured first place with his falcon (Al-Zaeem), followed by Nader Al-Mutairi in second place with his falcon (Sky), and Sultan Al-Dosari in third with (Layl). In the Gyrfalcon (Peregrine) , Mubarak Al-Qahtani dominated, achieving first place with his falcon (Mansour), while Waleed Al-Afees came in second with (Qanad), and Bader Al-Shammari finished third with (Shakhit).

Gyrfalcon category (chick and adult)

Gyrfalcon chick category , Hatem Al-Khaldi secured first place with his falcon "Khurmas," followed by Adel Al-Mutairi in second place with "Matrouk," and Faisal Salem Al-Marri in third with "J911." The day's events culminated in the Gyrfalcon adult , where Abdullah Al-Ajmi claimed first place with his falcon "Tamam," Abdulrazzaq Al-Thawadi came in second with "Phobia," and Mohammed Ghanem Al-Dosari finished third with "Cruz."

It is worth noting that the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival includes 139 rounds and offers 1,012 valuable prizes. The competitions are divided into multiple categories, including owners, amateurs, professionals, and elite, thus providing equal opportunities for all falconers to showcase their skills and compete for titles at this major international event.
