The King and Crown Prince donate 70 million riyals to the Ihsan platform

In a generous gesture that embodies the highest meanings of giving and leadership, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect them - launched the sixth edition of the National Campaign for Charitable Work through the “Ihsan” platform, by presenting two generous donations totaling 70 million riyals.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques donated 40 million riyals, while His Royal Highness the Crown Prince donated 30 million riyals, thus announcing the launch of the campaign this evening, in a step that reflects the wise leadership’s interest in supporting charitable work and promoting the values of social solidarity in the Kingdom, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Continuing the journey of giving and digital empowerment

This generous support stems from the leadership's ongoing commitment to the non-profit sector and aligns with the goals of Vision 2030, which aims to increase this sector's contribution to the GDP. The "Ihsan" platform, developed by the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), is a leading national model for harnessing technology to serve humanity.

Since its launch in 2021, the platform has succeeded in bringing about a qualitative shift in the concept of donation, by promoting the principles of transparency, reliability and governance, which has facilitated the process of delivering donations to those most in need with ease and convenience, and within the highest standards of digital security.

Social impact and promotion of solidarity values

This donation carries profound significance that transcends its monetary value, serving as a powerful incentive for all segments of society—businesspeople, individuals, and institutions—to contribute to the national campaign. This approach underscores the importance of community solidarity and addressing the needs of those in need, particularly during times of charity and devotion, when rewards are multiplied and the inclination towards giving and generosity increases.

In this context, His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the National Platform for Charitable Work “Ihsan”, expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them - for this unsurprising support, stressing that this generous gesture enhances the Kingdom’s leading position in charitable and humanitarian work globally.

Available donation channels

The campaign will continue throughout the days of the holy month of Ramadan, as the “Ehsan” platform allows donations to be received from individuals, government, private and non-profit entities through its multiple digital channels, whether through the website (ehsan.sa), the smart application, or through the unified number 8001247000, in addition to the dedicated bank accounts, to ensure that support reaches those who deserve it in various charitable and developmental fields.
