Applying for overseas scholarships through the Qubool platform: deadlines and pathways

The National Unified Admission Platform, "Qabool," announced its full readiness to begin receiving applications for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program for Overseas Studies, starting next Thursday. This step comes through a unified digital portal that innovatively integrates the scholarship application process with admission to government universities and colleges, as well as the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, in a qualitative leap aimed at facilitating the student's journey and reducing effort and time.

Details of appointments and admission procedures

According to the announced schedule, applications and competition for study and training seats will continue until May 7, 2026. The concerned authorities have ensured that sufficient time has been provided to allow male and female students to accurately complete their data and review their preferences within the wide range of options provided by the platform, which covers all educational paths, whether inside or outside the Kingdom.

Regarding the announcement of results, the relevant authorities have set the period between June 12th and 14th as the deadline for announcing the candidates and confirming their choices. This carefully considered timeframe gives those accepted an ideal opportunity to finalize their travel arrangements and obtain the necessary visas to enroll in international universities according to their academic schedules.

Strategic context and ambitious vision

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program is not just a traditional academic program, but rather a fundamental pillar in the human capabilities development strategy stemming from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The program, in its new form, comes as a continuation of a long journey of investment in the Saudi people, as it aims to raise the efficiency of human capital and achieve global competitiveness.

The scholarship strategy has witnessed a qualitative shift from focusing on quantity to focusing on quality, by directing students towards specializations that serve promising sectors and major projects in the Kingdom, thus ensuring complete alignment between educational outputs and the evolving needs of the labor market.

The Four Paths: A Roadmap for the Future

The program is based on four strategic tracks carefully designed to meet various national aspirations and needs:

  • The Pioneers Track: This is the most distinguished track, as it aims to send students to the top 30 prestigious educational institutions around the world, to ensure the graduation of future leaders who possess a world-class education.
  • Supply Track: This track focuses directly on meeting the needs of the labor market in specific disciplines, through sending students to the top 200 universities and institutes worldwide, thus ensuring that the market is supplied with highly qualified professionals.
  • A promising path: It aims to rehabilitate national capabilities and direct them towards promising sectors and fields that the vision focuses on, such as tourism, sports, entertainment, and others.
  • Research and Development Track: This track is the cornerstone in building the research and innovation system in the Kingdom, as it aims to produce scientists and researchers capable of leading the scientific renaissance in precise disciplines.

The importance of the unified "Qubool" platform

The launch of the application process through the "Qubool" platform represents a significant step towards the comprehensive digital transformation of the education sector. By unifying the admission portal for domestic universities and international scholarships, the Ministry ensures equal opportunities and high transparency in the screening and selection process, in addition to providing a central database that will aid in future workforce planning in the Kingdom.
