King Salman Relief Clinics provide services to 663 beneficiaries in Hajjah

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the brotherly Yemeni people, mobile medical clinics affiliated with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued providing medical and treatment services to beneficiaries in Abs District, Hajjah Governorate. These services are part of a comprehensive healthcare system through which the Center seeks to alleviate the suffering of citizens in affected areas and provide essential healthcare to the most vulnerable groups.
January statistics: Figures reflecting the scale of the donation
Periodic reports issued by the center revealed that its clinics received 663 beneficiaries during January, offering a variety of essential medical services. The Infectious Diseases Treatment and Control Clinic topped the list, receiving 327 beneficiaries, reflecting the vital role these clinics play in containing and preventing the spread of epidemics under the current health conditions.
In a related context, the emergency clinic provided urgent services to 98 patients, while the internal medicine clinic received 208 patients suffering from chronic and acute illnesses. The center also focused on preventative care, with 30 individuals benefiting from the health awareness and education clinic, which aims to raise health awareness among the population to prevent diseases before they occur.
Support services and logistical support
In addition to direct medical services, the clinics provided a range of complementary services to ensure comprehensive care. Ninety patients benefited from nursing services, and medications were dispensed to 401 individuals, ensuring patients received complete treatment. Eleven patients also visited the surgery and dressing clinic. Furthermore, in the interest of the environment and public health, nine activities were implemented to dispose of medical waste safely and responsibly.
The importance of mobile clinics in the Yemeni context
These mobile clinics are of paramount strategic importance given the challenges facing the health sector in Yemen, particularly in border governorates like Hajjah. They serve as a lifeline for thousands of families who struggle to access central hospitals, providing them with medical care in their local areas. The continued operation of these clinics demonstrates the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's commitment to providing sustainable support, not only through food relief but also by strengthening health security and combating disease, thus contributing to the stabilization of the humanitarian situation in the region.
