Launch of the 6th edition of the National Campaign for Charitable Work through Ihsan

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, has approved the launch of the sixth edition of the National Campaign for Charitable Work, through the national (Ihsan) platform for charitable work, in a step that reflects the generous and continuous care that the wise leadership gives to promoting the values of giving and social solidarity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This generous approval reflects the ongoing commitment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – to supporting and regulating charitable work, ensuring that donations reach their intended recipients easily, conveniently, and reliably. The National Charity Campaign is a prominent annual event eagerly anticipated by philanthropists, citizens, and residents alike, providing an opportunity to contribute to supporting those most in need and embodying the strongest bonds between the leadership and the people.

The role of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA)

The Ihsan platform enjoys the continuous support and empowerment of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). This direct support has contributed to the development of the platform's digital infrastructure, making it a global model for harnessing technology to serve humanity. SDAIA works to ensure the highest standards of transparency and governance in financial operations, which has strengthened donor confidence and enhanced the efficiency of charitable work in the Kingdom.

Campaign objectives and its social and economic impact

The sixth edition of the campaign aims to build upon the record-breaking success of previous editions, which witnessed widespread participation and billions in donations that helped meet the needs of thousands of families in diverse areas including healthcare, education, housing, relief, and other development sectors. The campaign also seeks to promote a culture of digital donation and facilitate the donor journey through various secure payment options.

Strategically, this philanthropic movement aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to increase the non-profit sector's contribution to the GDP and empower it to become a cornerstone of social and economic development. Organizing charitable work through a unified national platform like "Ihsan" has not only had a domestic impact but has also presented the world with a pioneering Saudi model for governing donations and directing them precisely towards projects with a sustainable impact.

The campaign, in its new version, calls on all segments of society, including individuals and governmental and private entities, to take the initiative and participate in this great good, in recognition of social responsibility and in pursuit of reward and recompense, especially since the platform provides diverse donation opportunities that cover all regions of the Kingdom and meet various humanitarian needs.
