The Governor of Najran discusses developing judicial services with the head of the General Court

His Royal Highness Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Governor of Najran Region, received in his office at the Governorate headquarters today, the President of the General Court in the region, Sheikh Ali bin Musa Al-Qahtani. This meeting comes as part of His Highness's ongoing monitoring of the progress of work in the governmental and service sectors in the region, and to ensure the quality of services provided to citizens and residents.

Leadership support for the judicial system

During the meeting, His Royal Highness the Prince of Najran commended the generous care and keen interest shown by the wise leadership – may God support them – under the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister, in the judiciary. His Highness emphasized that this unlimited support aims primarily to achieve swift justice, guarantee the rights of all, and serve both citizens and residents alike. He pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since its founding, has been built upon the pillars of truth and justice, and has made Islamic Sharia its guiding principle and constitution, safeguarding rights and establishing the principles of equity throughout the state.

Review and development of judicial services

During the meeting, His Highness reviewed a detailed report on the work of the General Court in the Najran region, examining the judicial and procedural aspects followed. The meeting also addressed ways to enhance the quality of judicial services, in line with the qualitative leap being witnessed by the Ministry of Justice in the Kingdom, which aims to streamline procedures and reduce litigation times, leveraging modern technologies and digital transformation that have facilitated access to judicial services.

The importance of integration between government agencies

This meeting is of particular importance in strengthening cooperation between the region's emirate and the judicial authorities, as the judiciary is a fundamental pillar for maintaining security and social stability. The emirate's keenness to meet with court presidents and judges reflects its commitment to removing any obstacles that may hinder judicial work, thus ensuring the implementation of Sharia rulings and upholding the prestige of the judiciary. The general courts are a primary avenue for resolving disputes and preserving rights, and therefore, improving their performance will positively impact the region's social and economic environment.

Keeping pace with the Kingdom's Vision 2030

These efforts come within the framework of the comprehensive development drive the Kingdom is witnessing under Vision 2030, where developing the judicial system and enhancing its operational efficiency is a key objective for promoting transparency and reliability. His Highness commended the efforts of the President of the General Court, the judges, and the court staff in Najran, praising their active role in expediting cases and serving litigants with professionalism and competence.
