Orange alert for Riyadh: Heavy rain and strong winds expected to continue until Monday morning
The National Center for Meteorology issued a new update to its early warning system, lowering the alert level while maintaining an orange alert for the weather conditions affecting the Riyadh region .
The update clarified that the conditions include the capital, Riyadh, and several governorates and centers, including Diriyah, Rumah, and Dhurma, which are experiencing moderate rainfall accompanied by a range of weather phenomena.

The center explained that the effects of the weather system include high-speed winds, reduced horizontal visibility, hail, thunderstorms, and the possibility of water accumulation in several locations.
It noted that the system began at 2:30 PM on Sunday and is expected to continue until 3:00 AM on Monday.
The National Center of Meteorology urged citizens and residents to exercise caution, stay away from floodplains and valleys, and follow weather updates regularly to ensure public safety.
