Princess Nourah University Engineering Career Day: Graduation Projects Exhibition 2026
Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, represented by its College of Engineering, is preparing to launch its prominent annual event, the Engineering Career Day and Graduation Projects Exhibition, under the theme "Empower Her Engineering Expo 2026." The event will be held next Thursday at the university's Conference and Seminar Center. This event serves as a vital platform that bridges academic creativity and the demands of the job market, showcasing 34 innovative graduation projects by the college's students and highlighting their acquired skills and abilities.
A platform for innovation and linking academia with the job market
Dr. Noura Al-Wadaei, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Engineering, explained that the exhibition is not merely a showcase of projects, but rather a comprehensive scientific and professional platform highlighting the engineering outputs and skills acquired by the students. The event embodies the true integration of theoretical and applied aspects of engineering education, through the presentation of projects that offer innovative technological solutions to address real-world challenges in diverse sectors, thus serving the community and supporting the comprehensive national development process.
The exhibition primarily aims to strengthen the link between academic learning outcomes and the actual needs of the labor market and developmental challenges, and to encourage a culture of scientific research and innovation in engineering fields. It also provides a unique opportunity for direct interaction between female students and representatives of the industrial and technological sectors, contributing to the development of qualified national talent capable of effectively contributing to sustainable economic development.
The importance of Engineering Career Day in achieving Vision 2030
This event holds strategic importance as it aligns directly with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes women's empowerment and human capital development. By training Saudi female engineers with the skills necessary to compete in the job market, Princess Nourah University contributes to increasing women's participation in vital sectors, particularly in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Graduating a cadre of women capable of innovation and contributing to major development projects strengthens economic diversification and transforms the Kingdom into a knowledge-based economy.
Innovative engineering solutions for a sustainable future
The projects on display encompass all of the college's programs, offering practical solutions in vital areas such as industry, renewable energy, sustainability, smart technologies, automation, healthcare, and digital transformation. The exhibition will also feature an awards ceremony honoring the winners of the graduation project competitions in the departments of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with its two programs: Electronic Engineering and Communications Engineering), and Biomedical Engineering. The event program also includes an "Engineering Career Day," providing students with the opportunity to explore available training and professional opportunities, connect directly with representatives from participating industrial and technological organizations, and build a professional network to support their future careers.
