The Qatif Governorate Municipality continues its diligent efforts in implementing infrastructure development projects and improving road quality. It announced the completion of paving work covering an area exceeding 17,000 square meters as part of the maintenance and rehabilitation project for Street 9 in the Al-Waha neighborhood of Tarout Island. This project is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing municipal services, promoting traffic safety, and improving the urban landscape in various cities and towns throughout the governorate.
In a statement, Faisal Al-Zahrani, Director General of the General Administration of Media and official spokesperson for the Eastern Province Municipality, explained that the field project covers a 950-meter-long and 18-meter-wide route. He added that the area of completed asphalt work reached 17,100 square meters, noting that the project is not limited to asphalt paving alone, but also includes improving the pavement layers and treating various road elements to ensure the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
