Saudi Arabia weather today: Temperatures, rain forecasts, and dust

The National Center for Meteorology in Saudi Arabia issued weather , revealing significant variations in temperatures and weather phenomena affecting different regions of the Kingdom on Sunday. This report is part of the ongoing monitoring of the country's climatic changes, which include cloudy skies, dust storms, and the possibility of rainfall in the highlands.

Details of expected weather phenomena

The meteorological statement explained that the Kingdom's weather map today is showing great diversity due to its vast geographical area. While the eastern and central regions are experiencing active surface winds stirring up dust and sand, which may lead to reduced horizontal visibility in some areas, the western and southwestern highlands are receiving showers.

Forecasts indicate partly cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms and rain, accompanied by active winds, over parts of the highlands of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha regions, extending to the highlands of Makkah (Taif). This weather pattern is typical of the topography of these areas, which frequently receive seasonal rains that contribute to moderating the climate and causing wadi flow.

Temperature analysis: The difference between north and south

Temperatures varied considerably, reflecting the diverse climate across the Kingdom. While Mecca warm conditions, recording the highest maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius, the northern regions experienced relatively cool weather, with Tarif and Hail recording minimum temperatures as low as 4 degrees Celsius.

In Riyadh , the weather is stable with a high of 19 degrees Celsius and a low of 8 degrees, generally clear skies, making it ideal for outdoor activities during the day, though cooler at night. In the Eastern Province, Dammam is recording 23 degrees Celsius, with some atmospheric particles that may affect air quality to a certain extent.

The importance of following weather reports

This report is of particular importance to drivers and highway users, especially in areas experiencing dense fog such as Arar, Sakaka, and Qurayyat, where humidity levels can reach 95%, necessitating caution. Furthermore, warnings regarding dust storms in the Eastern and Central regions require those with respiratory conditions to take necessary precautions.
