Al-Bunyan: Enhancing private sector investment in education to achieve Vision 2030

His Excellency the Minister of Education, Professor Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, affirmed that the Ministry is moving forward in developing a flexible regulatory and legislative environment aimed at attracting quality investments in the education sector, stressing that the real investment lies in building the human being and creating a promising future for the coming generations, in a way that fulfills the aspirations of the wise leadership and the ambitions of Saudi families.

An ambitious vision to build a globally competitive citizenry

Al-Bunyan's remarks came during his participation in the Education and Training Investment Forum, where he explained that the Kingdom's educational strategy is not limited to local objectives but extends beyond them to make Saudi citizens strong competitors in global markets. He pointed out that this approach is perfectly aligned with the goals of the Human Capital Development Program, one of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which seeks to equip citizens with the skills, knowledge, and values that enable them to compete and lead internationally.

A pivotal role for the private and non-profit sectors

In discussing strategic partnerships, the Minister of Education emphasized that the Ministry is working diligently to create an attractive environment that enables the local and international private sector, as well as the non-profit sector, to actively participate in achieving the education and training strategy. This step stems from the Ministry's belief that education is a shared responsibility, and that diversifying funding and management sources contributes to increased operational efficiency and improved quality of educational outcomes, thus opening up broad horizons for innovation in teaching and training methods.

The economic and social importance of investing in education

This approach is of paramount importance given the economic transformations underway in the Kingdom, where education is the primary driver of sustainable development. By opening the door to private investment, the Kingdom aims to bridge the gap between educational outputs and the evolving needs of the labor market, and to provide diverse educational options that meet various requirements. Furthermore, strengthening the role of the private sector will contribute to the localization of knowledge and the transfer of international expertise, positively impacting the national economy and reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a leading investment destination in the field of education in the region.

Al-Bunyan concluded his speech by emphasizing that the future being built for the children is based on solid foundations of values, skills and knowledge, to ensure the continuation of the building and development process in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
