Technical and vocational training efforts: 1383 volunteers to serve pilgrims

A strategic role in achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030

The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) is a cornerstone of the comprehensive development underway in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In line with the objectives of Vision 2030, particularly the Human Capital Development Program, the TVTC has undertaken the responsibility of preparing and qualifying young Saudi talent to meet the rapidly evolving needs of the local and international labor markets. Historically, the vocational training sector in the Kingdom has evolved from simple industrial institutes to a comprehensive technical system that keeps pace with the latest industrial revolutions, reflecting the wise leadership's commitment to investing in human capital.

Harnessing technology to serve the pilgrims

As part of the Guests of God Service Program, one of the most important programs of the Vision, the Deputy Governor for Planning and Business Development at the Foundation, Engineer Reem Al-Muqbil, affirmed that the Foundation has dedicated all its human and technical resources to supporting the Kingdom's efforts during the Hajj season. This was clearly demonstrated by the participation of 1,383 male and female volunteers during the 1446 AH Hajj season. Their participation was not limited to organizational tasks but also included providing more than 7,000 specialized services, such as bus maintenance, vehicle repairs, and the upkeep of public facilities and mosques, in addition to guidance and orientation services that benefited more than 123,000 pilgrims. This specialized technical role directly contributes to ensuring the smooth flow and safety of pilgrims and reflects the honorable image of the Kingdom's young men and women.

Bridging the gap between education outputs and labor market needs

On the development front, the organization has made significant strides in attracting young people. This year, 33% of high school graduates opted for technical and vocational training, bringing them closer to the strategic goal of attracting 40% by 2030. The organization now manages a vast network of 320 training facilities offering 854 programs to over 338,000 trainees. To ensure the quality of its graduates, 50 training programs were developed, and 15 new specializations were launched in future-oriented fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and smart buildings. Furthermore, strategic partnerships have been strengthened to encompass 19 vital sectors in collaboration with more than 150 strategic partners, guaranteeing sustainable employment opportunities for the expected 82,000 graduates by 2025.

Women's empowerment and digital transformation

The world is witnessing a radical transformation in the nature of professions, and the Kingdom is no exception. The institution has prioritized digital transformation, achieving first place in digital content quality with a score of 99.13%. In a related context, the growing role of Saudi women in non-traditional technical fields has become prominent; the number of female trainees rose to over 71,000 in 2025, representing a growth rate of 10.15%. Women dominated specialized fields such as multimedia and web technologies, accounting for 76.27% of trainees, thus confirming the success of Saudi women's economic empowerment plans.

Financial sustainability and future prospects

The greatest challenge facing the organization's business development sector is striking a delicate balance between its developmental role and its transition towards financial sustainability. The organization is working to overcome this challenge by increasing spending efficiency, growing its own revenue through facility investments, and attracting the private sector as a financial and operational partner. Ultimately, the wise leadership's vision remains the greatest motivation for Saudi youth to pursue careers in technology, as the nation places great hopes on its sons and daughters to continue the journey of progress and development, and to serve the pilgrims with pride and honor.
