أضافت الرياضة السعودية إنجازين جديدين إلى سجلها في بطولة العالم لألعاب القوى للأساتذة (WMAC 2026)، المقامة حالياً في مدينة دايغو بكوريا، بتحقيق لاعبة الأخضر سارة الهلال الميدالية البرونزية والمركز الثالث في مسابقة السباعي، واللاعب محمد القريع الميدالية الفضية والمركز الثاني في مسابقة القفز بالزانة.
وجاء تتويج الهلال بالبرونزية بعد أن نجحت في جمع (3856) نقطة، لتسجل حضوراً مميزاً في المنافسات العالمية، وتضيف ميدالية جديدة إلى إنجازات الرياضة السعودية في بطولات ألعاب القوى للأساتذة.
وفي منافسات القفز بالزانة، أحرز القريع الميدالية الفضية والمركز الثاني، بعد أن نجح في اجتياز ارتفاع (3.40) متر، ليحقق إنجازاً جديداً يضاف إلى سجلات الرياضة السعودية.
وتتواصل مشاركة بعثة المنتخب السعودي للأساتذة في البطولة، التي تشهد منافسات قوية بمشاركة نحو (7,476) لاعباً ولاعبة يمثلون (106) دول، ويتجاوز إجمالي المشاركين بمن فيهم الأجهزة الإدارية والمرافقون (11) ألف مشارك.
وتستمر فعاليات بطولة العالم لألعاب القوى للأساتذة في دايغو حتى 3 سبتمبر القادم، وسط منافسات في مختلف مسابقات المضمار والميدان، وتتطلع البعثة السعودية إلى مواصلة حضورها المميز وتحقيق مزيد من النتائج والميداليات التي تعزز رصيد الرياضة الوطنية على الساحة الدولية.
The Saudi sports have added two new achievements to their record at the World Masters Athletics Championships (WMAC 2026), currently taking place in Daegu, South Korea, with the athlete Sara Al-Hilal winning the bronze medal and securing third place in the heptathlon, and the athlete Mohammed Al-Quraie winning the silver medal and securing second place in the pole vault competition.
Al-Hilal’s bronze medal came after she successfully accumulated (3856) points, marking a distinguished presence in the global competitions and adding a new medal to the achievements of Saudi sports in the Masters Athletics Championships.
In the pole vault competition, Al-Quraie secured the silver medal and second place after successfully clearing a height of (3.40) meters, achieving a new accomplishment that adds to the records of Saudi sports.
The participation of the Saudi Masters team in the championship continues, which features strong competitions with around (7,476) male and female athletes representing (106) countries, and the total number of participants, including administrative staff and companions, exceeds (11) thousand participants.
The World Masters Athletics Championships in Daegu will continue until September 3rd, with competitions in various track and field events, and the Saudi delegation looks forward to maintaining its distinguished presence and achieving more results and medals that enhance the national sports record on the international stage.
