وأوضحت هيئة خدمات الملاحة الجوية البريطانية (NATS) أنها تحقق في مشكلة فنية بمركز “بريستويك” في إسكتلندا، مشيرةً إلى تطبيق إجراءات لتنظيم الحركة الجوية حفاظًا على السلامة، فيما يعمل مهندسون على تحديد سبب العطل ومعالجته.

وبيّنت أن المطارات الواقعة جنوب مانشستر لم تتأثر بصورة كبيرة، فيما تواجه الرحلات المتجهة شمالًا والمغادرة من المطارات الإسكتلندية بعض التأخير، مؤكدةً أن المشكلة الحالية لا ترتبط بالعطل التقني الذي أدى إلى إلغاء نحو (2000) رحلة في أنحاء المملكة المتحدة في وقت سابق من الشهر الجاري.
