ونقلت الوكالة عن هيئة الأركان المشتركة في كوريا الجنوبية رصد المقذوف، من دون تقديم تفاصيل.
وفي أغسطس، أطلقت بيونغ يانغ مجموعة من الصواريخ باتجاه البحر، وذلك بعد بضع ساعات من إعلان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب نيّته لقاء الزعيم الكوري الشمالي كيم جونغ أون هذه السنة.
