وأوضحت وكالة الأرصاد الجوية وعلم المناخ والجيوفيزياء بإندونيسيا أن الزلزال وقع على بعد 48 كيلومترًا شمال بلدة روتينج بمدينة مانجاراي، وعلى عمق 9 كيلومترات.
ولم ترد أنباء فورية عن سقوط ضحايا أو وقوع أضرار مادية جراء الزلزال.
