Al-Jadaan warns: Iran war will lead to severe disruption in oil markets
During his participation in the fourth edition of the FII PRIORITY Summit, part of the Future Investment Initiative, the minister warned that the continuation of the Iran war would lead to a disruption in oil markets that would be more severe than what the world witnessed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He explained that the Kingdom is currently reaping the rewards of investments that have lasted for decades, which has enabled it to deal with the current crisis efficiently.
A safe haven and an engine of growth
It is worth noting that the Future Investment Initiative Foundation opened the first day of the Priority Summit in Miami 2026 under the theme “The Movement of Capital,” which brought together global investors, policymakers and business leaders to discuss how capital moves across regions, sectors and technologies in light of geopolitical and economic transformations and changes.
The speakers and participants in the sessions discussed how capital is moving at a faster pace, and with clearer goals, towards new growth centers, relocating operations to nearby countries, and infrastructure, energy, and human capital as key drivers of long-term growth.
The leaders highlighted Latin America's transformation into a safe haven and engine of growth, thanks to its vast natural resources, expanding financial markets, and increasing geopolitical importance.
