Al-Firdous Association in Qatif launches a service for transporting the deceased between regions

In a significant step aimed at enhancing social and charitable services in the Eastern Province, the Al-Firdaws Association for Honoring the Deceased in Qatif Governorate launched its new strategic project today: a "transportation of the deceased between regions" service. This initiative aims to connect the governorate with various cities and regions across Saudi Arabia, such as Riyadh and Al-Ahsa, through organized mechanisms and an approved electronic platform that ensures a rapid response and alleviates the burden on bereaved families during their most difficult moments.
Digital solutions to streamline procedures
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, Hafez Al-Faraj, affirmed that the launch of this project comes in response to the urgent need to provide safe and rapid funeral transportation services that respect the dignity of the deceased and are considerate of the feelings of their families. Al-Faraj pointed out that the service is now available immediately and directly through online store , allowing beneficiaries to easily request the service to cover deaths occurring outside the deceased's place of residence, whether the transportation is from Qatif to another location or vice versa, reflecting the use of technology in serving charitable work.
After a profound human and social dimension
This project is not limited to logistics; it also carries profound humanitarian and social dimensions. Families of the deceased often face significant challenges when a death occurs far from their hometown, including difficulties in coordination, high costs of private transportation, and the fragmentation of efforts during times of grief. This is where the "Al-Firdaws" initiative plays a crucial role in providing logistical and moral support. The association undertakes the burden of coordination and transportation using specially equipped vehicles, embodying its noble mission of offering condolences, standing by the community, and meeting its needs with the highest professional standards.
An integrated system for honoring the dead
The association, officially registered with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development, seeks through this project to expand its services to encompass a comprehensive system. This goes beyond mere transportation, extending to the management and maintenance of mortuaries and the development of cemeteries to ensure an organized environment befitting the sanctity of the deceased. The association operates according to a clear strategy aimed at raising community awareness of Islamic rulings regarding funerals and training qualified personnel to work in mortuary facilities, guaranteeing the provision of services in accordance with both Islamic and health regulations.
Keeping pace with developments in the non-profit sector
This initiative by Al-Firdous Association aligns with the significant development witnessed in the Kingdom's non-profit sector, which focuses on specialization and professionalism in service delivery. Instead of relying on individual efforts to transport bodies, the association offers a structured, institutional service that ensures the dignity of the deceased and brings peace to their families. The association called upon all members of society to utilize and support the new project to guarantee its sustainability, emphasizing that this step is part of its ongoing efforts to alleviate the financial and procedural burdens on bereaved families from the moment of death until burial.
