
"Follow the guidelines"... Meteorology: Arafat will be the hottest area in the holy sites tomorrow - Urgent
Al-Qahtani noted that Mina recorded a temperature of 45°C on the Day of Tarwiyah, with wind speeds reaching 26 km/h, while the highest humidity reached 36%, pointing out that Arafat remains the hottest of the holy sites since the beginning of the season, after recording 48°C last Saturday.
He said that initial readings indicate the possibility of temperatures in Arafat tomorrow, God willing, reaching about 45°C during the peak period, calling on pilgrims to adhere to the instructions of the concerned authorities and to comply with preventive guidelines, especially during the period from 11 am to 3 pm, to mitigate the effect of high temperatures.

The safety of the pilgrims
In a previous statement to Al-Youm newspaper, Turki Habibullah, Director General of Research, Development, and Innovation at the National Center for Meteorology, explained that the center has deployed over 92 weather monitoring stations and advanced technologies based on artificial intelligence and modern systems to support the safety of pilgrims and enhance the preparedness of relevant authorities during the Hajj season.
He noted that the center is working on developing an accurate forecasting system that contributes to protecting pilgrims and improving the efficiency of response to weather phenomena, thus supporting the efforts of competent authorities in crowd management and maintaining the safety of pilgrims during the Hajj season.
