The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University the opening of registration for the new edition of "Nourah Hackathon," a unique initiative aimed at empowering university students and all those interested in innovation and entrepreneurship to develop their skills in vital sectors including technology, design, andartificial intelligence. This important event will continue until Sunday, March 1, 2026, providing an extended platform to support institutional creativity.
The importance of hackathons in the context of the Kingdom's Vision 2030
The launch of the "Noura Hackathon" aligns with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 , which focuses on building a vibrant society and a thriving economy by supporting innovation and investing in young human capital. Saudi universities play a pivotal role in this transformation, with Princess Noura University, through its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, striving to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application, thus contributing to graduating a generation capable of creating job opportunities rather than simply seeking them.
This event is of particular importance as it focuses on employing artificial intelligence as an enabling tool in the various stages of innovation, from deeply understanding challenges to developing viable prototypes, thus enhancing the concept of "institutional innovation" and consolidating the values of active citizenship by providing solutions that serve the community.

The hackathon is designed to address real-world challenges across four main tracks covering different aspects of university and community life:
- Technology field: Focuses on developing smart solutions to improve logistics services, specifically on-campus delivery services, thus facilitating mobility and increasing operational efficiency.
- Health field: It aims to employ technology to provide innovative educational solutions that ensure equal educational opportunities and enhance the quality of health and academic life.
- The field of culture: It seeks to promote national identity by activating the cultural diversity of the Kingdom’s different regions within the university environment, thus deepening national belonging among participants.
- Environmental field: focuses on sustainability by developing mechanisms to reduce waste on campus and encouraging responsible environmental behavior.
Work methodology and training programs
The Noura Hackathon is more than just a competitive event; it's a comprehensive learning journey. The program includes an intensive package of activities such as a virtual bootcamp, training and mentoring workshops, and specialized sessions with leading mentors and experts.
