Princess Nourah University wins two e-learning innovation awards 2025

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has achieved a new national accomplishment, adding to its impressive record in the field of digital transformation, by winning two prestigious awards in the "Making an Impact" category of the Innovation in E-Learning and Training Award for the year 2024-2025. This recognition came during the "Digital Education Forum 2025" organized by the National Center for E-Learning in the capital, Riyadh, in the presence of a select group of experts and decision-makers in the education sector.

Details of achievement and digital leadership

The university won in the "Flexible Learning Initiative" and "Open Educational Content" categories, reflecting its commitment to adopting the latest global practices in digital education. The "Impact Creation" awards are specifically given to entities that succeed in creating a tangible and sustainable impact in providing lifelong learning opportunities, developing human capabilities, enhancing skills, and improving spending efficiency through digital solutions.

Flexible Learning Initiative: A Bridge to the Labor Market

The "Flexible Learning Pathways" initiative is a strategic response to the requirements of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, aiming to bridge the gap between academic outputs and the evolving needs of the labor market. This initiative has successfully served over 25,000 beneficiaries, relying on an integrated model that combines academic education with professional development. The initiative was implemented across three main tracks: academic programs, graduate training, and professional development programs, thereby enhancing the readiness of national talent to compete both locally and globally.

Leading the way in open educational content

In its efforts to bolster the knowledge economy, the university has made significant strides in the field of open educational resources. Its total resources on the national platform "OERx" have surpassed 4,500, registering over 94,000 digital interactions. This digital momentum has positioned the university fifth among the platform's partners, offering a diverse range of content encompassing more than 165 collections covering specialized academic disciplines, thus contributing to the democratization of knowledge and making it accessible to all.

The strategic importance of the award

This award gains its significance from being issued by the National Center for E-Learning, the regulatory body overseeing the quality of digital education in the Kingdom. Winning it is a testament to the reliability and efficiency of Princess Nourah University's digital learning system. The award, with its various categories (digital solutions, learning experience, and impact), aims to motivate educational institutions to innovate solutions that contribute to raising the quality of education and developing human capital.

A sustainable commitment to development

Commenting on this achievement, Professor Najat Al Saleh, Director of the E-Learning Department at the University's Academic Affairs Agency, affirmed that this recognition embodies the University's unwavering commitment to developing innovative educational models with a sustainable impact. She noted that these initiatives are not merely technological projects, but rather a practical implementation of the University's strategy to empower women, enhance the quality of education, and provide flexible solutions that contribute to building a vibrant society and a thriving economy.
