Innoprom Riyadh 2025: Strengthening the Saudi-Russian Industrial Partnership

In a move reflecting the depth of growing economic relations and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s orientation towards localizing advanced industries, the capital, Riyadh, is preparing to host the International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom”, from February 8 to 10, 2025. This prominent event will be held in “The Arena” hall, bringing together under one roof an elite group of decision-makers and business leaders from the Kingdom and the Russian Federation.

Inoprom: From Yekaterinburg to the heart of Riyadh

The Innoprom exhibition enjoys a prestigious global standing as Russia's premier industrial platform, held annually for over 15 years in Yekaterinburg, often described as the industrial heart of Russia. The Riyadh edition builds upon past successes and reaffirms the Kingdom's selection as a partner country for 2025, reflecting the remarkable development of bilateral relations that have expanded beyond mere coordination in energy markets to encompass strategic partnerships in the manufacturing and technology sectors.

Strategic dimensions and alignment with Vision 2030

This event is of particular importance in light of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the Kingdom's sources of income and reduce dependence on oil by strengthening the national industrial base. The exhibition presents an ideal opportunity for knowledge transfer and the localization of advanced Russian technologies in vital sectors. The event enjoys high-level government support, represented by the Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in the Kingdom, and is being held in close cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, with the attendance of Minister Anton Alikhanov.

Broad participation and future technologies

The exhibition is expected to be a major event, with over 250 Russian companies participating across more than 6,000 square meters. Leading the way are giants such as Rostec, specializing in advanced technologies; Rosatom, a pioneer in nuclear energy; and Roscosmos, the space agency, opening up opportunities for cooperation in the fields of space and clean energy. The latest innovations in machinery manufacturing, basic materials development, digital transformation, smart city solutions, and mining technologies—areas of particular interest to the Kingdom—will also be showcased.

A platform for bilateral partnerships

The event is not just about showcasing products; it provides a fertile ground for deal-making and alliance-building, with the participation of 43 major Saudi companies alongside government entities such as MODON (Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones) and the "Invest in Saudi Arabia" and "Made in Saudi Arabia" platforms. The exhibition is expected to attract more than 1,900 participants from both countries, enhancing opportunities for trade and investment exchange.

The exhibition's agenda includes more than 10 diverse events, most notably the main plenary session entitled "Investing in the Future: Innovation and Industrial Cooperation," which will discuss ways to overcome obstacles for investors and draw a roadmap for sustainable industrial cooperation between Riyadh and Moscow.
