643 housing units delivered in Mecca as part of the Crown Prince's donation | Jood Housing

In a move reflecting the wise leadership’s keenness to provide a decent life for citizens, the Makkah region witnessed an important development event, as His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Makkah region, on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the region, handed over ownership documents for housing units to 643 eligible families in various governorates of the region.

Enforcing generous directives and supporting the non-profit sector

This handover comes in implementation of the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – who generously donated one billion riyals from his personal funds to support the “Jood Housing” initiative. This donation aims to provide suitable housing for the most needy families, thereby strengthening the role of the non-profit sector in the Kingdom’s housing system and reinforcing the principles of social solidarity upon which the state was founded.

Context of Vision 2030 and Housing Goals

This event is not merely the handover of housing units; it is an integral part of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives, which has placed the housing program at the forefront of its priorities to increase homeownership rates among Saudi families. The National Housing Development Foundation "Sakān" plays a pivotal role in this context, acting as the executive arm that connects government support, leadership donations, and community contributions to ensure that support reaches those who deserve it according to the highest standards of transparency and governance.

A record achievement by national standards

This phase of the project was distinguished by its rapid completion and precise execution, with the housing units finished in a record time of no more than 12 months. This was in response to the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to expedite the provision of housing for beneficiaries. The "Sakani" Foundation relied on national expertise and companies for its implementation, ensuring that the units met the highest technical specifications and quality of life standards, thus providing a safe and sustainable residential environment befitting Saudi citizens.

Thanks and gratitude to the leadership

During the handover ceremony, the Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, on behalf of Prince Khalid bin Faisal and the beneficiary families, expressed his deepest gratitude to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for this generous and unsurprising contribution, emphasizing that this support reflects the leadership's priority of ensuring the well-being and stability of its citizens. For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Sakan" Foundation, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, expressed his thanks to His Royal Highness the Governor of Makkah Region and His Royal Highness the Deputy Governor for their significant support, which helped overcome obstacles and complete the project on schedule.

The “Sakan” Foundation continues its journey through the “Jood Housing” platform to deliver the remaining installments of housing units in various regions of the Kingdom, in order to fulfill the leadership’s aspirations to provide sustainable and comprehensive housing solutions.
