
The Governor of Riyadh sponsors the graduation ceremony of King Saud University students 2026
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulazizcelebrated King Saud University this evening the graduation of its new class of 2026, comprising 8,400 graduates across various disciplines and academic levels. The ceremony was held at King Saud University Stadium, “Al-Awwal Park,” in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, the Acting President of the University, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Musmali, a number of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, faculty members, and the graduates' families.
A rich heritage and a promising future
King Saud University, founded in 1957, is the first university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a beacon of science and knowledge in the region. Its graduation ceremonies hold special significance, representing not only the culmination of a student's academic journey but also reflecting the government's continued investment in the education sector, considered the cornerstone of national development. Details of the ceremony and feelings of pride
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the Acting University President, who expressed his appreciation for the patronage of His Royal Highness the Prince of Riyadh, emphasizing that it served as a great incentive for the students and a culmination of their academic journey. He noted that the university was committed to providing a comprehensive educational and training environment to prepare qualified graduates with the experience and ability to achieve with efficiency and competence. The graduates then delivered their address, expressing their overwhelming joy on this day and thanking the leadership, the university, and their families for their continuous support, renewing their pledge to serve their religion and country. The ceremony included the honoring of outstanding students and the graduates taking their oath, before concluding with a dazzling light show to celebrate this happy occasion.
The 8,400 graduates were distributed as follows: 166 PhD students, 125 Associate's degree students, 1,170 Master's degree students, and 5,073 Bachelor's degree students, in addition to various diploma degrees, reflecting the academic diversity and knowledge richness offered by the university.
