The Meteorology Department issues a red alert for the Riyadh region: heavy rain and lightning expected on Saturday
issued The National Center for Meteorology a red alert today regarding the weather , God willing, in parts of the Riyadh region for tomorrow, Saturday, warning of heavy rainfall and the accompanying severe weather effects.

According to the report issued by the center, the weather condition includes (Thadiq, Huraymila, Rumah, Shaqra, Dhurma, Marat, Al-Sulayyil, Al-Aflaj and Wadi Al-Dawasir), where it is expected to start at 08:00 am and continue until 20:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
The center explained that this weather system will be accompanied, God willing, by several phenomena including:
high-speed winds,
reduced horizontal visibility,
hail
, flash floods,
and thunderstorms.
The relevant authorities urged everyone to take precautions , adhere to Civil Defense instructions, and stay away from valleys, flood channels, and water accumulations to ensure their safety during the warning period.
