The King Salman Center will cover the medical treatment of Yazan Nasman, a child from Gaza

In a living embodiment of noble human values and the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in relief work, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid its journey in healing the wounds of those affected, as the center announced its full sponsorship of the treatment of the Palestinian child “Yazan Sami Nasman”, who comes from the Gaza Strip, aged 9, who is battling a tumor in the lymphatic system.
Case details and urgent medical intervention
The center's swift response came after the deterioration of Yazan's health. Medical reports confirmed his urgent need for advanced treatment protocols and specialized care no longer available in the Gaza Strip. Coordination was made through official channels to transfer him to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, where he is now receiving care at the King Hussein Cancer Center . The child is currently under close monitoring by a specialized pediatric oncology team to assess his response to treatment and manage any complications.
The collapse of the health system in Gaza: context of the event
This initiative comes at a time when the Gaza Strip is suffering from an unprecedented health crisis. The ongoing conflict and blockade have rendered most hospitals inoperable, leading to a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies, particularly those used to treat chronic diseases and cancer. Cancer patients in the Strip face the risk of death not only from the disease itself, but also from the lack of access to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, making external interventions and medical evacuations their only lifeline.
Strategic partnership to save lives
The case of the child Yazan is not an isolated incident, but rather part of the fruits of the joint cooperation agreement signed in 2024 between the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center in Jordan. This strategic agreement aims to:
- Covering the treatment costs for dozens of cancer patients coming from Gaza.
- Providing psychological and social care for patients and their companions.
- Relieving pressure on the collapsing health sector inside Palestine.
The Kingdom's historical role in supporting Palestine
This medical support reflects the longstanding and unwavering stance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards the Palestinian cause and the brotherly Palestinian people. For decades, the Kingdom has consistently provided financial, political, and humanitarian support, whether through relief airlifts, public campaigns, or development and health projects implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, thus underscoring the deep fraternal ties and shared destiny between the two peoples.
Through its humanitarian arm, the Kingdom continues to affirm its moral commitment to the world’s most vulnerable groups, harnessing its capabilities to save lives and alleviate human suffering wherever it is found.
