Development begins at the intersection of Sultana Road and Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Road, west of Riyadh
This comes as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency of the road network and enhance traffic flow within residential neighborhoods.
Increased capacity
The works include increasing the capacity of Sultana and Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed roads by implementing two traffic lanes in each direction.
In addition to turning lanes on both roads, traffic at the intersection will be regulated by adding a traffic signal equipped with the latest systems, and its operation will be managed in accordance with the traffic density.
Residents of Sultana neighborhood
The intersection's development aims to enhance connectivity between local roads and main thoroughfares, thereby improving the daily experience for residents of the Sultana neighborhood.
The Riyadh Municipality continues to implement engineering improvements across the city's various districts as part of its plans to enhance quality of life and develop the urban landscape, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which seeks to build more sustainable and efficient cities with superior services and infrastructure.
