Dhari Al-Anzi is close to joining Al-Qadisiyah... Details of the offer and Al-Ahli's stance
Informed sources in the Saudi transfer market revealed that the outstanding defender Dhari Al-Anzi, the left-back of Damac FC, is very close to wearing the jersey of Al-Qadisiyah FC, in a deal whose features seem more clearly in favor of “Banou Qadis” at the expense of Al-Ahli FC, which recently entered the negotiations.
According to reports, the player received a lucrative offer from Al-Qadisiyah, including a substantial financial sum and the transfer of several players to Damac FC, giving Al-Qadisiyah a clear advantage. In contrast, Al-Ahli's management only submitted a financial offer, strongly suggesting that the deal will be finalized in Al-Qadisiyah's favor in the near future.
Impressive figures and a promising career
Dhari Al-Anzi, 26, is one of the names that has made a name for himself in the Saudi Professional League. He possesses considerable experience, having consistently delivered high-level performances with his club, Damac, making him a target for top clubs looking to bolster their defensive options, particularly at left-back, a position that is scarce in Saudi football.
In terms of numbers, Al-Anzi participated in 11 matches with his team this season, during which he appeared as a starter in all matches, and succeeded in providing two assists, which reflects his technical value and the total reliance on him in the starting lineup.
Clubs compete for local talent
These moves come amidst the fierce competition currently underway in the Saudi league to attract the best local talent. Local signings are of paramount importance to clubs for several reasons, most notably the need for a strong bench to match the starting lineup, in addition to regulations governing the number of foreign players, which makes talented Saudi players a cornerstone of any successful sporting project.
Previous reports had indicated that Al-Anzi had entered the circle of interest of top clubs such as Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli, but Al-Qadisiyah, which has returned strongly to the spotlight and is supported by a huge investment project, seems to be the most serious and determined to end the matter in its favor.
The ambitious Al-Qadisiyah project
Since its acquisition by Aramco, Al-Qadisiyah Club has been striving to build an invincible team that combines world-class stars with the best Saudi talents. The potential signing of Dhari Al-Anzi would be a logical step to strengthen the team's defense, especially as the club aims to compete for all domestic titles and return to the podium, making it an attractive option for any player aspiring to be part of a comprehensive sporting project.
