Execution of a cocaine smuggler in Mecca

God Almighty says: “And do not cause corruption on the earth after its reformation.” He also says: “And do not seek corruption in the land. Indeed, God does not like corrupters.” He also says: “And God does not like corruption.” He also says: “The punishment of those who wage war against God and His Messenger and strive to spread corruption in the land is that they should be killed or crucified or have their hands and feet cut off.” “They will be either exiled from the land or banished from it. That is a disgrace for them in this world, and in the Hereafter they will have a great punishment.”
Adam Ali Adam Mohammed, a Sudanese national, attempted to smuggle cocaine into the Kingdom. By the grace of God, the security authorities apprehended him. The investigation resulted in his indictment for the crime. Upon referral to the competent court, a verdict was issued confirming the charges against him and sentencing him to death. The verdict became final after appeal and subsequent confirmation by the Supreme Court. A royal decree was issued ordering the execution of the legally mandated sentence. The death sentence was carried out on Adam Ali Adam Mohammed, a Sudanese national, on Saturday, October 16, 1447 AH (April 4, 2026 CE) in the Makkah region.
The Ministry of Interior, in announcing this, affirms to everyone the keenness of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to protect the security of the citizen and resident from the scourge of drugs, and to impose the most severe penalties prescribed by law on its smugglers and promoters, due to the loss of innocent lives, the serious corruption of the youth, the individual and society, and the violation of their rights. At the same time, it warns everyone who commits such acts that the legal punishment will be their fate, and God is the guide to the right path.
