Hossam Hassan announces Egypt's preliminary squad for the World Cup

Egypt's national team coach, Hossam Hassan, announced the preliminary squad in preparation for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.

The Egyptian national team's roster witnessed a surprise with the exclusion of Nantes striker Mostafa Mohamed, nicknamed "Anaconda," while Barcelona youth team striker Hamza Abdelkarim was included in the first team's roster for the first time, while Liverpool star Mohamed Salah and Manchester City player Omar Marmoush topped the list.
